Thanks very much, my friend! You're always too kind! I haven't painted with tempera for so very long, I only wanted to tryit again after all my years of pause with drawing/painting.. This whole year of drawing/painting, I would totally prefer only Oil colors! Totally the best thing to paint with even if they eat brushes very fast, haha! But special thanks to who inspired me to try them! Need to get new ones!
Well it could use some more depth...and yeah fine burshes are required to paint details...haha I know all about that... If you need any guidance, you can check out my barb wire paintings: Banned ([link]) and Pain ([link])
First to get my self some good brushes oils and than trying again to make them good! But come on, I need 100 of years of practise to get the barbwire painted like you, your skills are 1000 times stronger than mine!
Yeah, to have good material is half of the work! ^_^
naaah...It's dead easy! Believe me...It looks difficult, but it's not... The edges are dark and in the middle it's lighter (depends wher the light is coming from)...and where the barb wire crosses, the one below is dark, the one on top is light... You can make it more difficult, playing with more shadow and light...but this is just the simple version, to start. You should find a picture and study it...that's what I've done...Look where there is shadow and light...then try it out on paper with a pencil and once you know that, use paint...same thing...
If you mean that for brushes, knife pallets and stuff, than yes, but expencive paints won't make the painting better in my oppinion! But of course, thats just me being poor!
It's easy for you to say, but I'm only drawing/painting for only a year, thats why it's still hard for me to do it! Thanks for the tip, really, I'll try to make something with your advice when I'm free! I Know how to place the shadows and lights with pencils, but paints are a bit harder to work with, thats why I enjoy to push my self! Thanks again for the tip!
